These plates serve perfect as cake plates or side plates. Because of aesthetic imperfections such as superficial cracks or bubbles in the glaze, the plates come with a discount.
The discount on this set is mainly due to variations in the glazes. Some pieces are lighter in colour than others, one Turquoise plate has freckles, and the Speckled Blue plates have a few spots where the glaze hasn't adhered properly to the clay body. The Forest Green plate has an air bubble.
None of the imperfections are of influence to the superior stoneware quality. They remain durable ceramics, made to last a lifetime.
